Virtual Journey (Jordan Hamilton)

Posted in New Posts, News on April 10th, 2012 by Troy Miles

Jordan Hamilton has come an incredible distance as a VP (Virtual Player, Virtual Performer and most importantly-  Virtual Person).

 VP FOR LIFE!

“Virtual Journey”– By Jordan Hamilton

Virtual Training is more martial art form than drills. Individuals are taught to understand their body, mind, and the process in which one creates their reality (through skill acquisition). Programming new material into the established patterns of the nervous/belief systems is hard work. The body and brain are resistant to change; which is why so few players/people are able to reach there desired destinations”

Jordan Hamilton, Co-Captain, Lehigh Men’s basketball

When I first picked up a basketball at the age of six, I had no idea where the round ball would take me. All I knew is that my dad, uncles, and cousins played; and being the impressionable youth that I was, I wanted to be just like them. I was hooked immediately and although I was uncoordinated (to say the least), gangly, and timid, I continued to play-albeit not very well.

“In the Lab” with Nia Jackson

Posted in New Posts, News on September 17th, 2011 by Troy Miles

Nia Jackson

Nia Jackson is a former All-Pac 12 guard at the University of Oregon. Before her injury she was one of the most explosive players in the country.  I was able to spend three days (12 hours) with her in the “Lab” recently .  Nia has been working hard to rehab a knee injury suffered against the University of Washington last season.  Physically she is about 60 percent and is limited to what she is permitted to do on the court. The good news  is she was still able to add to her PTAG –Physical, Technical, Application (Intellectual)  and Grit (Emotional) development, because “Virtual” growth isn’t necessarily a physical process.

Sci-Fi or Hi-Sci (Highly Scientific)?

Posted in New Posts, News on April 11th, 2011 by Troy Miles

As unbelievable as it seems, a new way of understanding basketball is amongst us.  It’s not of dreams, but  a new frontier replete with incredible displays of power, speed and technical application.

l

Virtual Play (click) is the name- a different basketball genre is the game.

Virtual Play is a real-life app for creating matrix-like outcomes on the court for experienced VPers and instant positive change for beginners. It’s where technical acuity, precise application and a Calm Assertive Mind (CAM) can transcend what seems possible. The truth is Virtual Play is a collection of  basketball functions and operations based on core fundamentals, including those of math and physics. To be Virtual is to be machine-like (in efficiency) across all your basketball functions – physical, technical, intellectual, and (as a human) emotional.

Keep On Movin’

Posted in New Posts, News on January 10th, 2011 by Troy Miles

Wow…it truly has been a whirlwind of a break. I’m sure you noticed that I took some time off  from blogging. I can say with certainty it was not a matter of running out of things to say or of not being properly motivated to write. Please believe that I remain as passionate as ever to share the message on my journey to “Virtual” nirvana, and still find extreme joy in pushin’ people forward.

The down time was merely a strategic ploy to grant  my readership an opportunity to revisit each post and marinate in the message (lol).  Actually, the  shift of energies was necessary to promote  the release of “The Virtual Game of Basketball”  and establish a “Virtual” speaking tour.  Ah…. What joy in Mudville!

Give ’em the Rhythm

Posted in New Posts, News on August 13th, 2010 by Troy Miles

The rhythm is the beat and perhaps the most important element in music.  It drives the players forward. It can be even or uneven, steady or unsteady, but always has a certain tempo.  Basketball, just as in music, demands that you be in tune to the rhythm of the game in every circumstance of play.  Understanding when to be fast or when to be slow allows you to operate freely inside your skill sets, yet in harmony with other individuals and the overall game action- just like jazz players or other musicians at the Symphony, perhaps.
